Claude Sonnet 5.5 now available on AI Gateway

Vercel just expanded its AI Gateway catalog by adding Claude Sonnet 5.5. If you are building web apps using Vercel's ecosystem, you can now route your app's prompts directly to this new model with minimal setup.

According to Vercel, the updated model is designed so it "carries changes through multiple steps and checks its work" during complex development tasks. For everyday builders, this means fewer broken components, clearer explanations when debugging, and better handling of multi-step code generation.

You can plug the model directly into projects powered by the Vercel AI SDK or connect it to your favorite coding assistant. Having standardized access to top-tier models through one central dashboard makes it much easier to test improvements without having to rewrite your entire backend.
