Cursor's Maker Anysphere Reportedly Valued Near $30 Billion
A new funding round values Anysphere, the company behind Cursor, at roughly $29-30 billion — with reports of talks at an even higher figure since.
Anysphere, the company behind Cursor, closed a Series D that multiple outlets put at roughly $29.3 billion, reportedly on the back of crossing $2 billion in annualized revenue just a few years after launching. Some subsequent reporting has pointed to investor talks at figures considerably higher than that, though those later numbers are harder to pin down precisely and should be treated as reporting-in-progress rather than confirmed.
Either way, it's another data point in the same story as Lovable's and Replit's recent news: AI coding tools have gone from "interesting new category" to some of the fastest-growing software businesses in recent memory, in the space of about two years.
