Three of the biggest names in this space have all raised or been valued at eye-opening numbers within the past year: Lovable at $13.3 billion after a $400 million raise, Cursor's maker Anysphere at roughly $29-30 billion after crossing $2 billion in annualized revenue, and Replit taking a strategic investment from Visa specifically to build payment infrastructure for AI agents. Multiple independent market research firms now size the broader "vibe coding" tools market in the billions of dollars, with most projecting continued fast growth into the early 2030s — though exact figures vary a lot between reports, so treat any single number as directional rather than precise.

Mobile and enterprise are both happening at once

Two trends worth noting because they pull in different directions: these tools are getting more accessible to individuals (Lovable shipping iOS and Android apps so you can build from your phone) at the same time they're getting more serious about enterprise (Bolt partnering directly with Microsoft to reach Azure and Microsoft 365 customers). That's a sign of a category maturing in both directions simultaneously, rather than staying a niche hobbyist trend.

Agents are the throughline

Nearly every major product update in the past year — Replit's Agent 4, Cursor's agent-first redesign, GitHub Copilot's Agent Mode — points the same direction: less "autocomplete," more "describe the outcome and let the system handle the steps." That shift is exactly what makes this space usable by people without a coding background in the first place, and it shows no sign of slowing down.

What this means if you're building right now

None of this changes what you should actually do day to day — describe clearly, iterate, ship small. But it's worth knowing you're building on genuinely fast-moving, well-funded infrastructure, not a fad. The tools you're learning today are very likely to still be here, and better, a year from now.
